Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of edgeanalytics.au and everything on it. They are written to be read, not to be skimmed past. The short version: we publish statistical projections and the market's own numbers beside them. We do not tell you what to bet, we do not take wagers, and we do not promise you will win anything.

1. Who you are dealing with

Edge Analytics is operated by [[LEGAL ENTITY NAME]] (ABN [[ABN]]), based in [[STATE]], Australia. In these terms "we", "us" and "Edge Analytics" mean that entity, and "you" means you. You can reach us at [[CONTACT EMAIL]].

2. Using the site means accepting these terms

By using the site, subscribing, or joining the notification list, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

3. You must be 18 or over

The site concerns sports betting markets and is intended only for people aged 18 or over who are legally permitted to access wagering-related content where they live. By using the site you confirm you meet that. We may withdraw access if we reasonably believe you do not.

Gambling laws differ by country and by state. Making sure your use of the site is lawful where you are is your responsibility, not ours.

4. What the product actually is

Edge Analytics runs statistical models over sports data and publishes their output: a projected result, a win probability, the market's own implied probability, and the distance between the two — which we call the gap.

A gap is a disagreement between two estimates. It is not a recommendation, a tip, or a signal to act. The market is frequently the better estimate of the two, and our public accuracy record says so plainly. Models are wrong often, and ours are no exception.

No guarantee of accuracy or outcome

We publish a graded accuracy record at edgeanalytics.au/accuracy covering every settled projection, wins and losses alike. We do that so you can judge the models rather than take our word for them. Nothing in that record is a promise about future results. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future performance.

We do not warrant that projections, probabilities, market prices or any other figure on the site are accurate, complete, current or fit for any purpose. Data arrives from third parties and can be late, wrong or missing, and our own models can be miscalibrated.

5. Free tier and membership

Part of the site is free permanently, not as a trial. What is free and what a membership adds is set out on the pricing page, and we may change the split from time to time. If we do, the pricing page is the current statement of it.

6. Billing, trials and renewal

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Subscribing to Stripe's handling of your payment information is a condition of membership.

• All prices are shown in Australian dollars (A$). If your card is issued elsewhere, Stripe may convert and charge the equivalent in your local currency at its own rate.
• Memberships begin with a free trial of the length stated at checkout. Your payment method is collected at the start of the trial and charged only when the trial ends.
• Memberships renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price for your plan, until cancelled.
• Promotional or founding rates apply for the period stated when you subscribe. Where a rate is offered for a limited window, the window and its closing date are stated at the point of sale.

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time, including during the trial. Reply to any receipt email or contact us at [[CONTACT EMAIL]] and we will action it. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for.

7. Refunds and your Australian Consumer Law rights

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, including that services are supplied with due care and skill and are reasonably fit for their purpose. If we fail to meet a consumer guarantee you may be entitled to a remedy, and for a major failure you may cancel and seek a refund for the unused portion.

Beyond those rights, we do not offer refunds simply because a projection was wrong, because a bet you placed lost, or because the models performed worse than you hoped. That is the nature of what is being sold, and the free tier and free trial exist so you can judge it before paying.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• scrape, bulk-download, resell, redistribute or republish our projections, data or accuracy record without our written permission;
• share your access with people who have not paid for it, or attempt to defeat the paywall;
• present our output as your own, or as a tipping or betting-advice service;
• interfere with the site's operation, security or availability, or place unreasonable load on it.

We may suspend or terminate access, without refund of any unused period, where we reasonably believe these terms have been seriously or repeatedly breached.

9. Availability

We aim to keep the site up and the data current, but we do not guarantee either. Pipelines fail, third-party feeds go down, and deployments break things. The site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, and we may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it.

10. Intellectual property

The models, the site, its content, design and the accuracy record are ours or our licensors'. Your membership grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use them for your own purposes while it is current. It does not transfer ownership of anything.

11. Liability

Subject to section 7 and to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any wagering losses, lost profits, lost opportunity, or indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site or reliance on anything published on it. Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, it is limited to resupplying the service or paying the cost of resupply, and in any case to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The "last updated" date above changes when we do. Where a change is material and affects existing members, we will give reasonable notice by email to the address associated with your membership before it takes effect. Continuing to use the site after that means accepting the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [[STATE]], Australia, and you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state.
